Ty Whitley is more than a trainer, he is a phenomenal teacher and coach. He caters a specific workout for you around various tools that might not be familiar to the average gym-goer, Ty teaches you techniques to improve mobility and functional strength, and creates programs to correct any imbalances to become functionally stronger. He is extremely knowledgeable in kinesiology and knows how to fine-tune areas of weakness and address them head on so that you are training is optimal, and the client is free of pain. Ty has designed workouts to improve how my overall wellness helps me function in my day-to-day life and activities. 

Ty not only challenges you physically, but he has a knack for creating a partnership and friendship to get your mindset on the right path and teach extremely valuable life lessons. He trains your mind to make you think anything is achievable and possible given the properly formed habits he provides you. For awhile, I had suffered constant doubt about whether I was ever going to get better due to my condition that consistently keeping me in a negative mindset. Ty is always here to listen to my woes, but helped to tune my mind to get through the pain I suffered and get my neuromuscular connections re-established, so that I could conquer my conditions and train at my best. I am extremely happy to have met him and encourage anyone who is looking to transform their overall well being, and achieve a heightened awareness of what their body is capable of doing. I’ve been working on and off with Ty for a number of years, but his value and expertise have never been more apparent to me than this year, when I returned in June from a 30-day pilgrimage across Spain. By the end of my 500-mile trek I was ailing pretty badly, with severe pain in my right knee. When I returned to Chicago I could hardly walk, and I worried I had done lasting damage to my body (I’m 40). I scheduled an MRI to assess the damage, but Ty discouraged me from doing so. He knew intuitively that I had no structural damage, but rather pain associated with weeks of stress, misuse, and general weakness in several areas of my body, which led to pain and stiffness in my knee. He encouraged me to participate in short daily workouts with him for a couple of weeks until I regained strength in these areas, believing, correctly, that the pain would subside. Since the pain disappeared–and it has *disappeared*, where once I feared I would never walk well again–I’ve been working with Ty several times a week to maintain and gain strength, so nothing like it happens again.

Ty calls his company Most Motivated, and that should clue you into what you’re getting from Ty for your dollar: motivation. In addition to his expertise and intuition–he is a lover and student of the human body–he will never forget about your progress, and takes it upon himself to make sure you continue to work for yourself and your health with regular texts and calls to gauge your level of motivation, reminding you why your body is so important to your happiness. Working out regularly requires discipline. For some of us, myself included, a friendly partner to help us along the journey toward greater physical wellness is essential. Ty is incomparably gifted for the task.

I’ve known Ty for quite some time. I admire his commitment and expertise for maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I’ve seen him with his clients, he’s able to get the most stubborn client to reach their goals in an enjoyable way. His fun personality helps one get through even the toughest of workouts. If you want someone to champion you as you reach your weight loss goals, then Ty is the trainer for you.

He begins with a consultation and assessment and asks if you’re sure ready to commit to a healthier lifestyle. After that he has you do a mix of different workouts with and without machines, in order to customize a workout for you. If you have any injuries, he’ll make adjustments.

Personally, I’ve enjoyed Ty’s custom workouts that he designed for me, I love that it specifically meets my needs. Now that I live in NYC, Ty is able to train me virtually as well as provide custom workouts for me daily. He also gives me nutritional advice that best complements my workouts and busy schedule. Another thing I love about Ty’s workouts is that they use the body, and resistance training, without only relying on machines. I, personally, hate machines.

I’ve never had a problem reaching Ty, our communication has always been consistent. Even as his client base grows, he makes sure that everyone gets their proper attention.
